Since their formation in the ’80s, Big Head Todd and the Monsters have continued to evolve and explore, moving beyond their Colorado club circuit roots to become one of the most adventurous, respected and durable bands in America.
This show, recorded on New Year’s Eve of 2017, showcases their roots & soulful blues rock vibe while truly highlighting the band’s superior musicianship. The set features fan favorites like “It’s Alright”, “Circle” and “Midnight Radio” as well as a pair of Jimi Hendrix covers that open and close the show. Perhaps the highlight is the band’s cover of the Willie Dixon classic “I Cry and Sing the Blues,” made famous by Buddy Guy. The track features a count down to midnight half way through the song, making it a standout moment in an evening full of amazing music.
