Carlsbad-raised singer-songwriter-surfer Cody Lovaas has songs and a voice that make it hard to believe he is only sixteen years old. Influenced by artists such as Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and other modern acoustic icons, Lovaas seamlessly combines his love for music and surf into uplifting stories and is beginning to carve out the early stages of a signature sound.
Cody has played Anaheim Stadium, shared the stage with such acts as Donavon Frankenreiter and Jason Mraz at the America's Cup Pavilion in San Francisco and the Santa Barbara Bowl. He also performed at the 2014 Switchfoot BroAm surf contest and the Fiesta Del Sol festival in Solana Beach as well as countless coffeehouse gigs and other San Diego area appearances over the past couple of years.
This album was recorded live at The Carlsbad Village Theater on a magical night in front of adoring fans, friends, and family. It’s clear in this recording how much talent Cody and his band bring to the stage, and you can feel how much he is enjoying the paradise where he lives and the carefree days of youth.
