Praised by the New York Times for his “genuine originality,” Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one his generation’s great musical artists. This intimate solo performance, recorded live at the Belly Up in 2015, showcases a multitude of hits like, ‘Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk’, ‘Grey Gardens’, and his critically-acclaimed rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Wainwright sings and plays piano beautifully, and then, halfway through the show, switches to the acoustic guitar to showcase another facet of his artistry, which reveals itself fully over the course of this almost 20-song set.
