The California Honeydrops, led by dynamic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lech Wierzynski, draw on diverse musical influences from Bay Area R&B, funk, Southern soul, Delta blues, and New Orleans second-line. They’ve taken the party all over the world, playing festivals of all kinds and touring widely across North America, Europe and Australia. From multiple headlining tours to support slots with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Allen Toussaint, Buddy Guy, and Dr. John; The California Honeydrops’ shared vision and purpose remain: to make the audience dance and sing.
This three song EP was recorded during the band’s set on April 11, 2018 and delivers a taste of the vibrant energy and infectious dance-party vibes the band brings to their shows.
Featuring “Tell Me (I Wanna Know)” from the band’s 2018 release Call It Home: Vol. 1&2 as well as a pair of killer covers: The Pointer Sister’s 1973 hit “Yes We Can Can” and the Bill Reed hit “Big Boss Man.”
